Zagreb To Host Titans European Triathlon League

 

The organising committee of the Titans European Triathlon League have confirmed that the Croatian capital Zagreb will be the venue for the first edition of the triathlon on 9 June 2013.

More than 1,500 competitors from all over the world we gather for the Croatian leg of the league. The race includes a 2k swim, a 90k bicycle ride and a 21k run. Organisers of the event said that Zagreb’s beautiful landscapes and nature made it an easier hosting choice.

Croatia’s President Ivo Josipovic will be a patron of the event and sponsor’s also include the Croatian National Tourist Board, City of Zagreb, Zagreb Tourist Board, Croatian Ministry of Tourism, Faculty of Kinesiology – Zagreb, and the nearby city of Samobor.

In other news, the ETL has teamed up with the organizational board of the Marco Polo Challenge 2013 triathlon race which will be held on 27 April on the Dalmatian island of Korcula.
