Zagreb to host Festival of World Literature from 6-12 Sept

ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina) – The 8th edition of the Festival of World Literature, which was launched by Fraktura Publishing House in 2013, will take place in Zagreb from 6 to 12 September in the format adjusted to the circumstances marked by the spread of coronavirus.

In these seven days, some of the programmes will be broadcast live by the national HTV television, and some of the events will take place in the Fraktura bookshop in downtown Zagreb.

Also, the Croatian Musical Institute will host some events within the festival which features about 60 authors from a dozen countries.

Nobel award-winner David Grossman will be one of the international guests, along with Israeli writer Etgar Keret, Spain’s Javier Cercas and Italian novelist Francesca Melandri. 

The aim of the festival is to bring together the best of local and international literature, and s to provide an opportunity for the audience to interact with contemporary writers.
