Zagreb Comedy Fest to take place in July

Following a highly successful inaugural edition in 2024, which attracted large audiences and sold-out performances by international stand-up stars over 12 festival days, Zagreb Comedy Fest returns this summer with an even stronger program, more performers, and more events than ever before.

From July 16 to 26, Guliver Bar on Opatovina will become a hub of laughter, creativity, and international cultural exchange.

The festival program includes special headliner nights, solo shows, themed comedy performances, as well as a series of workshops and masterclasses designed for anyone interested in learning more about the writing, performance, and production of stand-up comedy.

This year’s headliners include American comedian Tamer Kattan, known for his appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and legendary comedy venues such as The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory, as well as April Macie, known for her appearances on Netflix and the hit television competition Last Comic Standing.

The festival will also feature international guest comedians Oleg Denisov from Germany, Laura Lopez from Mexico, Guillem Gonzalez from Spain and Palma Palacios from Dominican Republic. The local stand-up scene will be represented by some of the region’s best-known performers, including Peđa Bajović and Igor Mondae.

A unique feature of this year’s edition is its international character, with performances in both English and Spanish, further reinforcing Zagreb Comedy Fest’s ambition to become one of the region’s leading destinations for international stand-up comedy.

The festival is produced by Headline Comedy, a comedy collective that has been producing English-language stand-up comedy shows in Zagreb since 2023, bringing international comedians to Croatia and helping develop the country’s growing English-language comedy scene.
