ZAGREB, 3 June 2026 – The City of Zagreb and the Zagreb Tourist Board have unveiled the programme for this year’s Zagreb Classic, one of the Croatian capital’s most popular summer cultural events.

The festival will take place from 19 June to 3 July, bringing a diverse programme of music performances to the city centre.

This year’s edition will feature a broad range of musical styles, including major symphonic works, opera gala evenings, musicals, jazz and tango. Performances will be presented by some of Croatia’s leading cultural institutions, including the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra and Choir of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, and the ensemble of Zagreb City Theatre Komedija.

Speaking at the programme presentation, Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević described Zagreb Classic as one of the city’s most significant cultural events, attracting both residents and visitors who travel to Zagreb specifically for the festival.

He highlighted the festival’s unique appeal, noting that it offers top-quality classical music performances free of charge in an open-air setting on one of Zagreb’s most recognisable squares.

Tomašević also said the festival reflects the city’s vision of making culture accessible to everyone and thanked the event’s partners for helping deliver a varied programme featuring leading orchestras, choirs and international classical music performers.

Martina Bienenfeld, Director of the Zagreb Tourist Board, announced that this year’s edition will be the longest Zagreb Classic festival to date.

The programme will include nine concerts alongside a dedicated children’s programme. According to Bienenfeld, the festival will open with four concerts by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and conclude with the Croatian National Theatre’s production, “Golden Age”.

All evening concerts will begin at 9 pm, while children’s events at Zrinjevac Park will start at 7 pm.

Organisers have confirmed that all performances will be free to attend. In the event of adverse weather conditions, concerts may be rescheduled where possible or cancelled.
