Zagreb Airport Notches 1 Million Passengers in Record Time

Zagreb airport welcomes one millionth passenger on Tuesday

Zagreb’s Franjo Tuđman Airport in Croatia’s capital welcomed the one millionth passenger to travel through Zagreb yesterday, the first time in history the milestone has been hit in the month of May.

The lucky passengers were Mario and Ivana Debeljak, who were on Croatia Airlines flight OU380 from Zagreb to Rome.

The couple, who were travelling on their honeymoon to Rome and Sicily, were gifted 2 return tickets to any European destination of their choice by Croatia Airlines, and a voucher for the use of the Business Lounge at the Franjo Tuđman Airport by BTA Croatia, the official airport food and beverage operator.

Franjo Tuđman Airport opened in March this year, just down the road from the old Zagreb airport.
