Zadar to Advertise on Ryanair’s Website After 1.4 Million EUR Deal Signed

ryanairscreenshotThe Croatian National Tourist Board and local government in the Dalmatian county of Zadar will finance a 1.4 million EUR advertising campaign to be launched on the website of Irish low-cost airline Ryanair.

The deal, which was signed in Zadar yesterday (Wednesday), will enable local tourism communities to advertise their destinations on Ryanair’s website. Ryanair officially opened its first base in Croatia in Zadar earlier this year, and Zadar authorities see the advertising deal as an opportunity to boost tourism in the area. The Croatian National Tourist Board will pump in 50% of the 1.4 million EUR, in what is being called one of the most important projects for the Zadar region. This year Zadar enjoyed 27% growth in passenger numbers through its airport.
