Zadar Ahead of London, Paris & Barcelona in Voting for ‘European Best Destination 2016’

Last week the Dalmatian city of Zadar was nominated as one of 20 places in the running for the title of ‘European Best Destination 2016’…

After 7 days and more than 130,000 votes Zadar ahead of more famous destinations Paris, London and Barcelona.

“The tourist offices in London, Paris and Barcelona will probably not like it that I told you this information, but Zadar is ahead of them, and among the best! The gap is very small among the top 5, just a few thousand votes,” Maximilien Lejeune from portal European Best Destinations told Poslovni dnevnik.

Other destinations Zadar is up against include the likes of Athens, Prague, Amsterdam, Berlin, Madrid, Milan and Rome.

Voting closes on 10 February and you can give Zadar your support here. You can also join the Zadar Tourist Board campaign ‘Like Zadar’ set up to help take away the title here.
