Zagreb will become the epicentre of international feline excellence on 31 May and 1 June as it hosts WCF Cat Olimpia 2025 at Family Mall — one of the world’s most prestigious cat exhibitions, making its Croatian debut.

Under the patronage of the World Cat Federation (WCF) and supported by sponsors including Vetti Group, Purina Pro Plan, Royal Canin, Monge, Josera, Maistra Hospitality Group, Pet Almighty Photography, and Ubastija, the event promises two full days of elegance, charm, and competitive spirit — all on four paws.

A Showcase of Beauty, Character and Breed Excellence

This unique event will bring together over 350 cats representing around 30 countries, all vying for top honours. Across 19 judging rings, 18 international judges will evaluate the feline contestants based on the WCF’s strict breed standards.

Judging sessions run from 9:00 to 18:00, with the highlight of each day — the Best in Show — beginning around 16:00, where the most stunning and captivating cats will be crowned.

A Rare Look at the World’s Most Fascinating Breeds

Visitors will have the rare opportunity to see 31 different cat breeds, including some of the world’s most unique. Among them:

• The Singapura, the world’s smallest breed, known for its delicate frame and striking eyes.

• The majestic Maine Coon, often called the “gentle giant” of the cat world.

• The Chartreux, a noble French breed with a rich heritage.

• The Kurilian Bobtail, distinguished by its pom-pom-like tail and dog-like personality.

Each cat on show is a testament to breed diversity, beauty, and the deep bond between humans and their feline companions.

More Than a Cat Show – A Hub of Learning and Culture

WCF Cat Olimpia 2025 is not only a beauty contest but also a platform for education, inspiration, and community.

The exhibition will feature the VETTI Corner, where veterinarians will share expert advice on feline health and care.

In a special cultural nod, Felis Croatia, the event’s organiser, has created a distinctive tribute to Croatian heritage.

Each participant will receive a handmade rosette adorned with patterns inspired by traditional Croatian folk costumes from various regions — a creative concept developed by the association’s secretary and crafted by @Christine Ribbon Rosette. It’s a way for guests from around the globe to take home a piece of Croatia’s rich tradition.

A Star-Studded Event in the Feline World

“We are proud to have brought this world-class exhibition to Zagreb,” said Trpimir Sulić, President of Felis Croatia and an international cat show judge. “We’re especially honoured to welcome Anneliese Hackmann, President of the WCF, often referred to as the ‘encyclopaedia of the cat world’ for her unparalleled expertise.”
