Work Starts On Croatia’s First Aquapark – 5,000 Visitors A Day Expected

Construction of the first Aquapark in Croatia has got underway. The 12,000 square metre water wonderland will be located in Dugopolje, near the Dalmatian city of Split, and is expected to open its doors to the public next May.

Croatia’s first water park will have 14 toboggans, with the highest 12 metres high, swimming pools, a river, heated pools and a number of cafes and restaurants bringing 130 new jobs to the area.
The new tourist attraction for Dalmatia is being built by the Primatum Fond from Luxembourg and their company Maragritum with a total investment of more than 30 million euros. Over 5,000 visitors daily are expected at the Aquapark during the season when it opens. (pic: Maragritum)
