LONDON, 14 July 2019 – Croatia’s Ivan Dodig (34) and his Taiwanese partner Latisha Chan won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title on Sunday, making it back to back Grand Slams.
Dodig and Chan beat Robert Lindstedt of Sweden and Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia 6-2 6-3 to claim their second Grand Slam in a row after winning the French Open mixed doubles title last month.
The Croatian/Taiwanese pairing started briliantly and raced to a 5-0 lead in the opening set in just 20 minutes. Their opponents would claim two games but it would be a comfortable opening set.
One break was enough in the second set and it came in the 8th game when Dodig and Chan were leading 5-3.
