Will Smith takes unforgettable ride in Croatia with Mate Rimac

Actor Will Smith has experienced a high-speed ride in the Rimac Nevera with company founder Mate Rimac in Croatia.
Smith was given the opportunity to experience the all-electric hypercar, regarded as one of the fastest production electric cars in the world.
Mate Rimac personally took the wheel for the demonstration drive near Zagreb.
The highlight of the experience came when Rimac activated the Nevera’s launch control, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under two seconds.
The sheer acceleration left Smith visibly stunned as the forces pushed him back into his seat.
Filming the experience, Smith introduced his driver to the camera, saying: “That’s Mate, he designed and built this 2,000-horsepower. We just did launch control.”
The demonstration also included drifting on a closed track, with the Nevera producing clouds of tyre smoke during a series of controlled high-speed slides. Smith recorded much of the drive from inside the car, reacting with visible excitement throughout.
After stepping out of the vehicle, he described the experience to his followers, saying: “I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life.”

Smith’s visit comes as he continues to expand his involvement in electric motorsport. In 2024, he launched Westbrook Racing to compete in the UIM E1 World Championship, the world’s first all-electric powerboat racing series.
He joined a growing list of celebrity team owners that includes Tom Brady, LeBron James and Rafael Nadal.
