‘White Christmas’ Unlikely in Croatia

ZGWith 10 days to go until Christmas, it seems that the only thing white about Christmas in Croatia this year will be the icing on a number of cakes which will be eaten over the festive period…

Snow has yet to arrive this winter, with above average temperatures recorded all over the country. Temperatures hit double-figures in continental Croatia over the week, whilst in Split on the Dalmatian coast it was sunny and warm with temperatures approaching 20 degrees. According to weather portal Crometeo, a warm front will make its way over the country in the week leading up to Christmas, with the chances of snowfall not looking likely. Temperatures will hover around 9 degrees in continental parts of the country, whilst on the coast it will be in the md-teens.
