Which Croatian Companies Employ the Most People? Here are the Top 5…

The Todorić family owned supermarket chain employed 11,886 workers last year, 6.8% more than the previous year, to put them at the top of the list. Behind Konzum in second place was the state-owned Croatian Post, who last year employed 9,055 workers, 6.5% fewer than the employed the year before.

City enterprise Zagreb Holding, which for a long time was the nation’s largest employer, dropped to third spot – with 8,435 workers, down from 11,216 the year prior. Oil and gas company INA were next (8,147), followed by Croatian Forests (7,967) and national power company Hrvatska elektroprivreda (7,514).

Also in the Top 10 was another Todorić company – Tisak, who increased their number of employees to 3,572.
