The city of Vukovar is gearing up to host the 7th annual Svi zaJEDNO Hrvatsko Naj festival, a celebration of intangible cultural heritage, taking place on 3–4 May 2025. This year’s highlight is the BAŠTINA.HR programme – a vibrant showcase of traditions, identity, and community spirit from across Croatia.
Organised in cooperation with the association Tragom hrvatske baštine, BAŠTINA.HR brings together cultural treasures listed on both the national and UNESCO heritage lists, making Vukovar a true hub of cultural pride and exchange.
A major feature of this year’s festival is a spectacular evening performance by the Folklore Ensemble Zagreb-Markovac, one of the most respected amateur folklore groups in the country. Audiences can expect a beautifully choreographed journey through Croatia’s diverse regions – from Baranja’s lively drmeš and Slavonia’s bećarac to the coastal charm of Dalmatian dances.

“This performance isn’t just a show – it’s an emotional journey through our shared heritage, brought to life in a modern but authentic way,” said Festival producer Aleksandar Kovačević.
The festival will also shine a special spotlight on children and young performers, including a performance by the Zagreb-Markovac youth group. Young talents like the children’s klapas Lantina from Zadar and Žižula from Omiš, as well as rising star Anita Huđek of LADO and Supertalent 2023 winner Chriztel Renae Aceveda, will delight visitors with their renditions of traditional songs.
Another crowd favourite will be the live heritage displays, featuring iconic groups such as the Sinj Alka horsemen, Dubrovnik trombunjeri, Eltz guards, Bakar City Guard, and Moreška sword dancers from Korčula. Also taking part are the VU Kumpanjija, Kukuljan small bell ringers, and KUD Sv. Cecilija.

Visitors will experience traditional dances like the Krk tanac, ojkavica, silent circle dance, and more. Cultural associations from all corners of Croatia – including KUDs from Kornić, Vinac, Laz, and Đuro Kundek – will contribute to the colourful line-up.
“BAŠTINA.HR is where tradition meets the future – through workshops, performances and interactive experiences that connect generations and keep our heritage alive,” adds Kovačević.
