Croatia’s growing presence in the global aerospace supply chain was highlighted this week during a visit to the Enikon Aerospace production facility in Vukovar’s economic zone.
The visit was attended by Vukovar mayor Marijan Pavliček and his associates, who toured the modern manufacturing plant that produces highly precise components for the aviation industry.
Enikon Aerospace specialises in advanced manufacturing processes used to produce aircraft interior components that must meet strict international safety and quality standards.
All products manufactured at the Vukovar facility are destined for export markets and are ultimately installed in Airbus aircraft flying worldwide.
The company’s Vukovar plant has grown significantly since opening in 2020. What began with just 30 employees has expanded to a workforce of around 180 today.
Further expansion is already underway. The company plans to increase the number of employees to approximately 250 by the end of 2026, alongside a continued expansion of production capacity.
The facility forms part of Enikon Aerospace’s wider international network, which includes six production plants across four countries on two continents.
Plant director Kristina Suman Jurković said the Vukovar site plays an important role in the company’s global operations.

“We already have long-standing experience and a stable position in the aviation industry. Our main activity here is the final processing of aircraft interiors. All products are exported and installed in Airbus aircraft, meaning components produced in Vukovar are flying all over the world,” she explained.
Boost for local economy
Mayor Marijan Pavliček said the development of high-tech manufacturing companies such as Enikon Aerospace demonstrates positive economic trends in the city.
“Today in Vukovar we are witnessing encouraging economic growth and the expansion of successful companies. One of the best examples is our cooperation with Enikon Aerospace,” Pavliček said.
He emphasised that most employees come from Vukovar and the surrounding area, which he described as crucial for the city’s long-term development.

“As a city administration, our goal is to provide maximum support to fast-growing companies, especially those in highly specialised industries such as aircraft parts manufacturing, which is still rare in Croatia,” he added.
According to the latest employment data for February, Vukovar is currently recording a historic high number of people in work, reflecting continued positive economic momentum.
With the construction season beginning and several development projects underway, city officials expect 2026 to be another strong year for employment and investment.

Pavliček confirmed that the city will continue supporting entrepreneurs and investors through business incentives and grants aimed at strengthening the local economy.
“Everyone who contributes to the development of our city can count on our support,” he said.

The continued growth of Enikon Aerospace in Vukovar highlights Croatia’s increasing role in specialised manufacturing sectors and shows how locally based production is becoming part of the global aerospace supply chain.
