ZAGREB, 18 January (Hina) – The Voice of Entrepreneurs (UGP) association said on Monday its architecture and construction committee had designed a model house for families in Sisak-Moslavina County left homeless in the 29 December earthquake, adding that construction would begin as soon as the weather permitted.
The association said that the post-earthquake reconstruction of the area should be carried out in two stages, with the first stage focusing on the provision of housing for earthquake victims and the second stage focusing on economic renewal.

The UGP said it had brought together partners and donors and come up with quality solutions to ensure that properties devastated by the earthquake were rebuilt as soon as possible.

It said that its model house was a modern, earthquake-resilient house designed for at least a family of four and adapted for both an urban and a rural way of life.
