Famous Vienna Boys’ Choir to perform in Zagreb

ZAGREB, 8 Feb (Hina) – The world’s most famous boys’ choir, the Vienna Boys’ Choir, will be performing in Zagreb later this month.
Vienna Boys’ Choir will perform at the Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski on 22 February, and on the occasion of the 200th birth anniversary of Johann Strauss Jr. they will perform his and other composers’ timeless melodies.
The Vienna Boys’s Choir returns to Zagreb under the direction of Oliver Stech, with the concert “Forever Strauss!” which they will perform as part of the longest-running cycle of the Concert Hall, Saturday at Lisinski, which has been part of the programme since 1981.
The performance will include compositions and excerpts from the works of “The Waltz King”, as well as Schumann, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Brahms, Josef Strauss and others, the Concert Hall Lisinski has announced.
At the Concert Hall Lisinski, the Vienna Boys’ Choir will also perform popular folk songs, including the Croatian “O More Duboko” (Oh, Deep Sea), arranged by Gerald Wirth, and the Korean song “Arirang”.
The programme will also include songs from the famous films “Mary Poppins”, “Barbie” and “The Little Mermaid”, as well as the famous “The Blue Danube” by Johann Strauss Jr.
