SPLIT, 16 May 2020 – Seagulls are the most common sight and a feathery trademark of the Split fish market.
We all have experienced what it is like to meet a seagull and lose a part of a sandwich or two but rarely do we get a chance to see them in their splendor up close and caught in direct action.
One Split resident, Zlatan Leko, had a chance to record an amazing photo of a winged thief in action as it steals a sardine (srdela) from the market and leaves without paying.
Below a video of another seagull having a snack on the go.
