Croatian football club NK Osijek has presented a video on Thursday how their new stadium and camp, set to be complete in two years, will look.
The eastern Croatian club’s new stadium will have a capacity of 12,000 and will be the first all-covered stadium in the country. Preparation works on the new stadium and camp begun in December with an investment of over 30 million euros.
Boxes in the West Stand will include beds, saunas and jacuzzis, whilst the adjoining camp will have a hotel, seven heated pitches and entertainment facilities for players. The project is expected to be complete in 2020.
“What the generations of fans and followers of NK Osijek for a long time are waiting for is finally becoming a reality. We have stopped dreaming, we begin to live”, NK Osijek President Ivan Meštrović said at the presentation.
The stadium was designed by the Osijek company Sirrah, which also designed the Croatian IKEA’s Croatian branch. The roof extends ten metres out around the stadium which will enable the organization of various events.
Just like Munich’s Allianz Arena, the outside look of the stadium will change its look through the changing of colours and designs.
The new stadium and camp is located in Pampas with the current stadium, Gradski Vrt still used to host B team matches. Check out the video below.
