VIDEO: Miss Croatia Tomislava heads to Miss World with beautiful scenes of Croatia

Miss Croatia 2023, Tomislava Dukić, is getting ready to represent the country at the 72nd Miss World, which will take place from 7–31 May across the Indian state of Telangana.
The grand opening and finale of the festival, including the final Miss World competition, will be held in Hyderabad, the state capital.
Before her departure, a heartfelt farewell event was held at Café de Paris in Zagreb. Among the guests were well-known names from the Croatian fashion and entertainment world including fashion agent Tihana Harapin Zalepugin, former Misses Antonija Gogić and Ivana Delač, as well as Zoran Škugor, Dimitrije Popović and others.

Tomislava has been preparing for months for the global stage. Aside from beauty and personality, the competition also scores contestants in various categories. In the Sports challenge, Tomislava’s physical strength and fitness will be in focus.
For Talent, she will paint memories from her time in Africa. She will also compete in the Top Model category, wearing a costume by Marina Lacković of the Larie brand – inspired by the coronation of King Tomislav and the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom.

For the traditional “Dances of the World” segment ahead of the final, Tomislava will wear the Lika national costume.

But perhaps the most significant part of the competition is the Beauty With a Purpose category. Tomislava’s project is centred on her volunteer work in Benin last year – a moving story that has also been captured in a powerful video.

In collaboration with the Croatian Tourist Board and the counties of Lika-Senj and Vukovar-Srijem, a beautiful video postcard was also created to showcase Croatia’s natural beauty, which Tomislava will proudly share during the competition.

Her trip to India was made possible by ATI, with strong support from Croatian designers and brands.
“Thanks to the professionalism of Larie, Nikolina Wedding Store, Natalija Smogor, Mocro Swim Fashion, Gemstone Gallery, Tvornica Naočala and Brokat Haute Couture, Tomislava is ready for a month full of events in India,” said Iva Loparić Kontek, national director for Miss World Croatia.

Tomislava also received expert help in her pageant preparations. Dharma Institute took care of her skin with Revello and Circadia products. A bright smile was ensured by the Šlaj-Anić Polyclinic.

Hair styling guidance came from Studio Marcela, and the Profokus Academy team trained her in make-up techniques. Celebrated painter and author Dimitrije Popović gifted her a painting for the charity auction organised by Miss World Limited.

I can’t wait to meet girls from all over the world and learn about their Beauty With a Purpose projects.
