The Croatian island of Korčula is hot at the moment, making must-see lists in 2017 in a number of influential travel publications.

It was also rated by the New York Times as one of the 52 places you have to see.

Korčula is the second most populous Adriatic island after Krk, separated from the Pelješac peninsula by a narrow strait.
