Croatian international Ivan Rakitić has scored his first goal for Spanish giants Barcelona since signing for the Catalan club this summer…
In the 44th minute of Barcelona’s 4th round match against Levante, Rakitić pulled the trigger from 25 meters out and watched as his shot sailed into the bottom left-hand corner.
“Thank God it went in. The guys in the changing room were already joking with me when will I score my first goal. I am glad my goal helped the team,” said Ivan after the match.
Barcelona ran away with the match, winning 5-0. Rakitić was joined on the score sheet by Neymar, Sandro, Pedro and Messi. Rakitić has impressed since arriving from Seville, and has quickly become a crowd favourite at the Camp Nou.
