After the opening match at the World Cup, the Nigeria coach commented how it felt like a home game for Croatia thanks to the large support in the crowd of Croatian fans.
More than 15,000 Croatian fans converged on Kaliningrad to support Croatia and tonight’s match against Argentina is expected to be just as electric as fans stream into Nizhny Novgorod.
Again Croatian supporters from all over the world, including Croatia, Germany, the UK, America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Austria and South Africa are in Nizhny Novgorod and the atmosphere is slowly building around the city with songs echoing from cafes in town.
A number of Croatian fans have made the long trek from the other side of the world.
“I have flown from Australia to support the boys, I was in Kaliningrad for the first match and it was an amazing atmosphere. I hope tonight is just as good. Come on boys!” said one passionate fan from Melbourne.
