Antonio Plazibat from Croatia has defeated Ibrahim El Bouni by unanimous decision to win the K-1 World GP 2017 Heavyweight Championship Tournament in Tokyo, Japan.

The 23-year-old from Solin becomes the third Croat to win the K-1 World GP after Branko Cikatić and Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipović.

Plazibat, who arrived in Japan as one of the least experienced fighters, beat Japan’s K-Jee and Makoto Uehara with knockouts before he faced El Bouni in the final.
