SPLIT, 5 March 2020 – Croatia’s biggest football derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb is known as the ‘Eternal Derby’.
It is a rivalry between the clubs from the north and south which can be traced back to the 1920s and is ranked 20th among the 50 greatest football rivalries of all time by the Daily Mail.
Last night, the Eternal Derby took place for the 222nd time at Hajduk’s Poljud stadium.
Goals to Damian Kądzior and captain Arijan Ademi gave Dinamo a 2-0 on the night in front of 22,436 fans as they stretched their lead at the top of the Croatian first division to 17 points.
