Victory On Return For Vlasic In New York

Champion Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlasic made a winning return to the sport after a 21-month absence from injury this weekend when she won the Diamond League series event in New York.

Vlasic’s jump of 1.94 metres, which equalled the record for the meeting, was enough to give the tall Croatian victory. Blanka then had three unsuccessful attempts to break the meeting record at 1.97 metres.
