Vegeta Voted Croats Favourite Brand

Croatian condiment Vegeta, which is sold in more than 40 countries around the world, has beaten off thousands of other local and international brands to be named the countries “favourite brand” by consumers.

The popular seasoning powder, which is a mixture of spices and various vegetables and produced by the Podravka company, beat off brands such as Coca-Cola, Nivea and Milka to be the market leader in Croatia.

“This is a great honour because we know that it comes from the consumers themselves, and they have shown that Vegeta is the most trusted, recognised and used brand,” said Podravka’s Corporate and Marketing director Marinka Akrap.

Vegeta was first sold in 1959 in the then Yugoslavia under the name “Vegeta 40”. In 1967 Vegeta was first exported to Hungary and the USSR . More than 4,000 consumers throughout Croatia took part in the research, reported portal net.hr.
