Varaždin will host Croatia’s Davis Cup quarterfinal clash against Kazakhstan, the Croatian Tennis Federation confirmed.

Croatia qualified for the quarterfinal after beating Canada earlier this month 3-1 in Osijek when Borna Coric won both of his singles matches and Marin Cilic and Ivan Dodig teamed up to claim the doubles rubber.

Croatia will play for a place in the semi-final in Varaždin from 6-8 April at the Town Hall which has a capacity of 5,500.

It will be the second time that Varaždin has hosted a Davis Cup tie. Back in 2010, Croatia played at the same venue when they beat Ecuador 5-0 in the first round of the World Group.

Croatia is expected to field a full-strength team with Marin Cilic, Borna Coric and Ivan Dodig all expected to play if there are no injury issues.
