US Open 2018: Borna Ćorić Cruises into the 3rd Round with Straight Sets Win

Croatian Borna Ćorić has advanced through to the third round at the US Open on Wednesday with a comfortable straight sets win.
Ćorić, who is seeded No. 20 at the Grand Slam, defeated Roberto Carballes Baena from Spain 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 in two and a half hours.
The first set was a close one with the young Spaniard giving as good as he got to force it into a tie-breaker but it was Ćorić who would take it 7-4.
The Croatian got into his rhythm in the second set, hitting some classy winners as he ran away with the set 6-2. Ćorić hit five aces as he cruised to victory in straight sets, taking the third 6-3.
Ćorić will meet 22-year-old Russian Daniil Medvedev, who is ranked 36th in the world, in the third round.
