Unique Celebrations For Record-Breaking Medvescak

Croatian ice hockey club Medvescak have set a new club record after beating Austrian side Dornbirna in the EBEL league in Zagreb last night. The Zagreb club have now recorded their longest winning streak – eight games in a row and have chalked up their 100th win the EBEL league.

The team celebrated in true Croatian style with Tamburica players joining the players on the rink to perform a few tunes.

“It is the first time I have ever celebrated in this way, but in Croatia I have experienced many things for the first time that I am not surprised anymore. This is an important thing for the club,” said coach Marty Raymond after the record-breaking win which leaves them second on the table.
