Under-21 EURO Finals: Croatia finds out group opponents as draw held

Croatia U-21 team after qualifying (HNS)

Croatia has learned its group opponents after the Under-21 EURO finals draw was held in Bologna on Friday. 

The 12 qualifiers for the Under-21 EURO finals were split into three groups of four.

Croatia will face England, Romania and France in Group C.

Croatia qualified for the Under-21 EURO finals for the first time in 15 years after winning their qualifying group. 

Big things are expected from the Croatian team coached by Nenad Gračan, with many already experiencing a taste of senior national team football, including captain Alan Halilović, Josip Brekalo, Duje Ćaleta-Car and Nikola Vlašić.

The Under-21 EURO finals will be held in Italy and San Marino from 16-30 June 2019. The tournament will also act as UEFA’s qualifier for the 2020 men’s Olympic football tournament in Japan.
