Ultimate Croatian Sticker App – Lijepa Naša

If you are looking for a great sticker app for your mobile phone which showcases all regions of Croatia’s beauty then look no further.

“Lijepa Naša” is the ultimate Sticker collection of Croatia’s beauty for iOS.

With the app, which was created by Nik Kraljevic, you are able to share carefully hand picked photos from beautiful Croatia with all your contacts on iMessage in a few taps.

“I grew up in a Croatian family in Sydney, Australia and despite Croatia’s growing popularity as a tourist destination there is still a lot of people out there who either have no idea about Croatia or have a huge misconception about Croatia e.g. its some type of ex-soviet republic”, Nik explains.

“So pretty much for as long as I can remember I have had to answer the “what’s Croatia like?” or “what does Croatia look like?” set of questions and depending on what was going on at the time my answer varied but for the last few years its been “it’s where Game Of Thrones is filmed”.

Last year, after many years, Nik returned for a holiday to Croatia with some friends. He spent a large portion of his 2017 summer holiday traveling around Croatia and taking photos of all the places he visited.

“I had an absolute blast and really enjoyed taking a break from my everyday routine but I also got a big reminder of how beautiful the whole place is in general. A few weeks ago I was sitting at my computer going through photos from the trip and I thought of a really good way to share them but also promote Croatia instead of just posting them to Instagram where a few people would see them,” Nik says.

With the app, Nik says he could create something that will be around for a long time to come and something that anybody could download and then use to showcase what Croatia is like.

“I had already built a few apps in my free time as a hobby so I got stuck straight into it and spent a few days after work collating photos and building the app and that’s the story of how “Lijepa Naša” came to be.”

Nik plans to release an Android version of the app which should be available in the next couple of weeks after receiving a lot of good feedback from people who said they would love to see the app on android.

“After that, I’m aiming to start adding a lot more traditional phone “stickers” so common words and phrases and a whole bunch of gifs so that should keep me busy for a while.”
