UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body ordered the Croatian Football Federation to play its next UEFA competition match as host association behind closed doors (against Italy on 12 June 2015) for racist chants during their Euro qualifier against Norway in March. The Croatian Football Federation had also been fined €50,000. In addition, the association had been fined €5,000 for the setting off of fireworks by spectators.
The UEFA appeal body has met and rejected the Croatian FA’s appeal on Wednesday. Croatia will face Italy behind closed doors at Split’s Poljud stadium on 12 June.
