UEFA Nations League draw: Croatia in Pot 4

ZAGREB, 2 March 2020 – The draw for the 2nd edition of the UEFA Nations League will take place in Amsterdam on Tuesday, 3 March 2020.

The 55 UEFA nations are split into four separate leagues, based on their position in the UEFA coefficient rankings with Croatia in the elite League A. 

With the Leagues, teams have been split into four pots for the draw based on rankings. Croatia is in Pot 4 with Poland, Germany and Iceland, meaning they will not face either of those teams in League A. 

League A

Pot 1: Portugal, Netherlands, England, Switzerland
Pot 2: Belgium, France, Spain, Italy
Pot 3: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden
Pot 4: Croatia, Poland, Germany, Iceland

Croatia will draw one team from Pot 1, 2 and 3. 

The group matches taking place in September, October and November 2020. Below is the schedule. 

Matchday 1: 3–5 September 2020
Matchday 2: 6–8 September 2020
Matchday 3: 8–10 October 2020
Matchday 4: 11–13 October 2020
Matchday 5: 12–14 November 2020
Matchday 6: 15–17 November 2020
Finals: 2, 3, 6 June 2021
Relegation play-offs: 24, 25, 28, 29 March 2022

Croatia is next in action later this month in Doha at the Qatar Airways International Tournament. Croatia will face Switzerland in the first match of the tournament on 26 March (7:30 pm local time). The next match for Zlatko Dalic’s side will be on 30 March when they take on Portugal (8:30 pm local time).
