UEFA Europa League round of 32: Dinamo Zagreb draw FC Viktoria Plzeň

NYON, 17 December 2018 – Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have drawn Czech club FC Viktoria Plzeň in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League after the draw in Nyon today. 

This is the first time Dinamo has advanced to the playoff stage of a European competition since 1970 when they reached the quarterfinals of the Cup Winners’ Cup.

As winners of Group D, Dinamo was seeded for today’s draw. FC Viktoria Plzeň made it into the draw as one of the four weaker third-placed teams from the Champions League group phase. 

The first leg will be played in the Czech Republic on 14 February with the return in Zagreb at Maksimir stadium on 21 February. 

Dinamo has earned 13 million euros so far in their European campaign. They earned 9 million for qualifying for the Europa League via the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Each victory in the Europa League has brought the club 570,000 euros, with draws worth 190,000 euros. The Zagreb club also collected a million euros also for winning the group.
