14 February 2019 – Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have lost the first leg of their Europa Legue Round of 32 clash against FC Viktoria Plzeň at Doosan Arena in Plzeň on Thursday.

Dinamo Zagreb scored an important away goal in their 2-1 loss against the Czech club.

The match was the first for the club in the playoff stage of a European competition since 1970 when Dinamo reached the quarterfinals of the Cup Winners’ Cup.

Dinamo started the match strong and looked to attack early. The visitors began to control possession as the Dinamo fans started to out-sing the locals.

Dinamo would deservedly take the lead in the 41st minute through midfielder Dani Olmo.

The return leg will be played at Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium next Thursday on 21 February 2019 with kick-off at 6:55 pm. The match is almost sold out.
