ZAGREB, Jan 6 (Hina) – Ophthalmologist Drazen Grgic and sailor Branimir Vlajo on Monday embarked on a sailing tour from the Croatian Adriatic city of Sibenik to Brazil with the aim of collecting funds for the SOS Children’s Village Croatia association and raising awareness of sea pollution.

This start of this expedition was at the waterfront in Sibenik where the families and friends saw the two adventurers off this morning.

If weather conditions turn out to be favourable, the two men on the sailing boat could be back in Sibenik this Easter, that is in mid-April.

The route is not easy due to the current cold weather in the Mediterranean, however, winds are favourable, said doctor Grgic before the start of this journey.

Their sailing boat is also carrying a tonne of food and other things necessary for this humanitarian adventure travel.
