Two Croatia Photos Selected for WMO 2019 Calendar

Two Croatian photographers are among the winners of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) 2019 calendar competition. 

Over 1000 amazing entries from all over the world were received for the WMO 2019 calendar competition which was themed “The Sun, the Earth and the Weather”.

75 finalists were then selected with voting opened to the public to find the best 12 which will be used for each month on the WMO 2019 calendar.  

Two Croatian photographers were among the winners and will feature on the calendar with Danijel Palčić’s ‘Shelf cloud’ taken on the island of Pag and Ana Ricov’s ‘Vortex on sea’ from Lubenica selected.

South Korea is the only other country with two photos on the calendar along with Croatia.

As well as the calendar, the winning photos will feature on the WMO website, Flickr gallery, Instagram page and be displayed on the WMO Facebook Timeline.
