Two cities in Croatia rank among world’s most trending destinations on TripAdvisor

Two Croatian cities have been ranked among the world’s most trending destinations on TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Award 2022.

The Travellers Choice award are based on reviews and opinions from guests and customers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.

Among others, the award rated the most tending destinations in the world with two popular tourist destinations in Croatia making the Top 20. 

Ranked no.5 on the list is Dubrovnik. 

“Nestled between the Adriatic and the Dinaric Alps, it’s an accessible and affordable city break for many European travelers. The pedestrian-only Old Town is especially charming,” TripAdvisor wrote.

Also to make the list was Split, which was ranked 13th. TripAdvisor writes.

“There is an abundance of restaurants and wine cellars. Sites such as Diocletian’s Palace and Mausoleum, the Grgur Ninski Statue and the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius justify its position as a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site. The city’s coves offer several lovely beaches, including central Bacvice. Ferries link Split to Dalmatian summer resorts.”

The Spanish island of Majorca topped TripAdvisor’s list as the world’s most trending destination. Cairo in Egypt was second, followed by the island of Rhodes in Greece and Tulum in Mexico.
