Croatia and Turkey have drawn 3:3 in an international friendly at Vodafone Park in Istanbul on Wednesday.

Ante Budimir, Mario Pašalić and Josip Brekalo scored for Croatia in a match which gave coach Zlatko Dalić a chance to see his second-string side play ahead of two Nations League matches this week.

“It was a really friendly match, with six goals, and I can be happy because I saw some things I wanted to see, but I can also be unhappy because we let in three goals lightly. That worries me, it wasn’t good, our defense was weak. That must not happen, Dalić said after the match.

Croatia will play against Sweden on Saturday, and Dinamo’s duo Dominik Livaković and Bruno Petković, who tested negative for coronavirus recently, will join the national team.

“If all goes well with Livaković in the remaining two training sessions, he will be in the Croatian goal. I expect him to be healthy,” said Dalić.

Dalić will be without Domagoj Vida who tested positive for coronavirus after the match. Croatia faces Sweden away before meeting Portugal in Split.
