As part of the lead-up to World Dance Day, the historic Croatian town of Trogir proudly celebrated tradition, unity, and the joy of movement at this year’s Dan o’ Kvadrilje (Day of the Quadrille), held this past Sunday.
The event, which began at midday on the town’s main square, brought the community together in a vibrant celebration of dance and cultural heritage.
At the heart of the festivities were the dancers of KUD Kvadrilja, Trogir’s oldest cultural and artistic society. With every step, they brought to life the rich intangible heritage of the region.

Locals and visitors alike gathered to enjoy the lively performances, where generations came together to share in the universal language of dance — one that transcends age and background, connecting people through rhythm, music, and shared joy.

Adding to the special atmosphere this year was the performance by Narodna Glazba Trogir (Trogir Folk Orchestra), who marked an incredible milestone — their 200th anniversary.
