Croatia

Tonight at 8pm (CET) Croatia will be beamed into homes in more than 130 countries when the first episode of Henry Cole’s ‘World’s Greatest Motorcycle Rides’ starts on the Travel Channel…

Earlier this summer the famous British motorcycle enthusiast, writer, adventurer and TV presenter was in Croatia filming for his long running TV show on the Travel Channel, which is broadcast to around 200 million people in 130 countries.

Cole visited the islands of Cres, Krk, Rab, and Pag, Pula, Zadar, Skradin and Split, presenting his viewers with the best motorcycle routes in Croatia. On his trip he also takes in local traditions and cuisine, as well as stopping off at Hajduk Split football club.

“Soon as I arrived in Split I could immediately feel the emotion and passion that is connected to Hajduk. The stadium is spectacular. I can only imagine how it is when it is full. I really like it here, I think I could be become a real Hajduk supporter,” said Cole, before taking a penalty, and missing, at Poljud stadium.

Before his trip to Croatia, Cole has shown motorbike lovers some of the best routes to cruise around in the likes of the Caribbean, Italy, Germany, South Africa and Australia.

Cole says the best roads for bikers are those that are long with amazing views where you can feel the smell of nature, which he says parts of Croatia have.
