Tram To Connect Zagreb Airport With City Centre

Passengers arriving at Zagreb’s Pleso airport will soon be able to connect with the Croatian capital centre by tram if the Mayor of Velika Gorica gets his way.

Velika Gorica’s Mayor Drazen Barisic, where the airport is located, has unveiled plans which will see the two towns connected by tram lines. Velika Gorica’s coffers are expected to be bolstered by payment from the French consortium who won concession rights to upgrade and manage Zagreb airport, helping to pay for the new tram lines. No start date for the project has been announced.
