Going for a ‘coffee’ at a cafe is part and parcel of the laid-back Croatian lifestyle. Cafes are places to meet old friends, catch up on gossip and conduct business.

There is no shortage of cafes and you never have to go far to find one. Some destinations have more than others as an investigation by daily Jutarnji list has revealed.

Here is the list of the TOP 10 tourist destinations with the most cafes (per person) in Croatia.

10. Zagreb – 4,500 cafes – 1 per 177 people
