The biggest cultural-tourist manifesto in the northwest of Croatia is currently going on in Međimurje.

The 53rd Porcijunkulovo has opened in the city of Čakovec. Around 230,000 visitors from Croatia and Europe visited Porcijunkulovo last year and organizers are expecting that record to be beaten.

Visitors this year are able to enjoy again in a number various fun events, with the town covered again in thousands of colorful umbrellas, which have been a trademark of the event. This year 3,000 umbrellas were put up.

Concerts, workshops, presentations of old crafts, talk shows and shows for the kids, presentation of autochthonous wines and other products, street music and much more are part of this year’s program.

The 53rd Porcijunkulovo closes on 2 August 2017.
