The Most Sold Make of Car in Croatia is…

There were exactly 5,000 new cars registered in Croatia last month, the most in one month this year, according to statistics from Promocija plus

The amount of new cars registered in May was higher by 130 cars from the number registered in May 2014. Volkswagen is still the most sold make of car in Croatia. In May there were 834 new Volkswagen’s registered. Opel was the second most popular make of car, with 801 registered. In third place was Škoda (451), fourth was Peugeot (329), followed by Kia (280), Citroen (254), and Renault (255).

Not only were VW’s the most sold cars in Croatia last month, the are comfortably the most sold make of car this year with 2,797 registered, representing a 16.6% share of the market. Opel was again in second with 2,115 registered (12.55 %), followed by Škoda (1,687), Renault (1,143), Dacia (1,124), Peugeot (1,014), Citroen (849), Kia (737), Ford (722), and Audi (667).

The new car market has been growing in Europe. According to data from Jato Dynamics, there were 1,205,885 new cars registered in April, 6.4% more than the same month in 2014.
