The Best and Worst Hospitals in Croatia Ranked

Croatia186You will find the best hospital in Croatia in the eastern city of Požega, and the Dalmatian hinterland, according to a ranking of 28 hospitals in the country released by the Croatian Institute for Public Health….

The Požega General Hospital was ranked the top hospital in Croatia based on five different criteria measuring success and quality, including number of specialist doctors and staff per bed and average length of stay per patient. In second place was Zagreb’s KB Sveti Duh, followed by the hospital in the eastern city of Slavonski Brod and Čakovec in northern Croatia. KBC Split on the Dalmatian coast was 5th, with Koprivnica hospital in 6th place on the list. Šibenik, Varaždin, Zadar hospitals, and the Sisters of Mercy hospital in Zagreb made up the top 10.

The hospital which saw the highest amount of deaths and the least the number successfully treated out of the 28 hospitals in the study was Knin hospital, writes Jutarnji list.
