Teenage Croatian Tennis Star Wins $50K Turkey Tournament

Teenage Croatian tennis star Donna Vekic has won the ITF Istanbul Lale Cup in Istanbul, Turkey on Sunday.

Vekic (16), who made her name when she beat world number 66 Andrea Hlavackova in her first grand slam match at the Australian Open in Melbourne earlier this year, beat Russian Elisabeth Kulichkova in Sunday’s final 6-4, 7-6 in the $50k event.
