Ted Danson: The Croatian Coast is Beautiful

American actor, author, and producer Ted Danson, well-known for his role as lead character Sam Malone in the hit sitcom Cheers, is looking forward to visiting the ‘beautiful’ Croatian coast…

Croatian television reporter Ivana Nanut caught up with Danson recently in Monte Carlo, where he was to promote CSI, which recently celebrated its 300th episode. Danson told Nanut that he has heard that the Croatian coast is beautiful, and admitted that as a hopeless romantic he will ‘soon visit’.

In his 30-year career, Danson has been nominated for 15 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning two; ten Golden Globe Awards nominations, winning three; one Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination; one American Comedy Award and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. He was ranked second in TV Guide’s list of the top 25 television stars and has also been a longtime activist in ocean conservation, which may be good news for organisations in Croatia who are opposed to oil and gas drilling in the Adriatic which is set to start next year.
