Talented Croatian designer debuts at Milan Fashion Week

Talented Croatian fashion designer Božena Bratović Smolić, who is behind the brand BECHA, has presented her SS20 collection in a runway show during Milan Fashion Week.

Last month, amidst the heat of Milan Fashion Week, Emerging Talents proudly presented the newest edition of Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show at the famous Palazzo Visconti, a central Milanese fashion venue.

Božena’s debut at Emerging Talents Milan, which was supported by many international fashion magazines such as Vogue and US Lifestyle, saw her present her SS2020 collection ‘Pearl Vibe’, which was inspired by the sea, waves and summer breeze. The main material was tulle, organza, and silk made in a romantic story with a strong vibe.

Apart from BECHA, who is based in Zadar on the Dalmatian coast, talented designers from Oman, New York and Brazil were also showcased.

The Spring/Summer 2020 mission is to showcase and celebrate young and tenacious designers. The selection criteria are the uniqueness of design, the original concept, the high quality of craftsmanship, and innovative approach to materials – while simultaneously embracing a romance with traditions.

The famous Palazzo Visconti was the stage during Milan Fashion Week for the talented emerging designers to shine and to allow them to merge with essential elegance that will never go out of fashion. Being one of the most prestigious venues in Milan that dates back to the 17th century, Palazzo Visconti is an example of Rococo Milanese.

“We focused on collections that speak originality, collections that take us on a journey back in time, through unique culture, designs that expose us of the power of becoming bare and letting go. The womenswear collections are increasingly feminine, sensual and floral,” the show’s organisers said.
